Measuring Guide
The first thing to consider before measuring is to determine how the blind is going to be installed. Is it to be inside fit or outside fit.
Inside Fit
*This is when the blind is fitted inside the window reveal. Provide exact measurements for width and drop. When fitting the blind into the window reveal, always make sure there is enough room for the blind to fit (refer to table below). Make sure there is going to be nothing obstructing the blind, eg handles, window locks etc.
Outside Fit
*This is when the blind is fitted to the architrave and cover the entire window and frame. Provide exact measurements of the outside of the architrave from one sideto the outside of the architrave the width. For the drop measure from the top of the architrave to the bottom. With Roman and Roller Blinds these measurements are fine. We do though suggest that you add 50 - 100mm to the width of the blind so that you get good privacy and light control.
Measure all windows
*When taking measurements for your blinds, make sure you measure all windows even if they look the same size. Windows that are the same size can actually be up to 5 - 10mm different, so measure them all exactly so we can supply you with blinds that fit correctly.
